The initiative is part of the project"Voices from the lake: Roman ships and the Museum of Nemi," promoted by the Lazio Regional Directorate of National Museums of the Ministry of Culture for the Museum of Roman Ships in Nemi, as part ofEuropean Heritage Day Stories.
The meeting aims to explore the theme of navigation in antiquity from a European perspective, comparing museum experiences and research dedicated to naval archaeology. The famous ships of Nemi, an extraordinary example of Roman engineering and a symbol of European cultural memory, will be at the center of an international dialogue aimed at promoting heritage as a place of connections, exchanges, and shared identity.
