The Office of Educational Services and Training organizes and promotes activities designed to ensure that people can fully and meaningfully engage with our cultural heritage, transforming visits to cultural sites into experiences of connection, participation, personal growth, and sharing.
Throughout the year, the Lazio Regional Directorate of National Museums, through its Educational Services and in collaboration with the directors and staff of museums and cultural sites, organizes training and outreach activities, study and research projects, thematic programs, and hands-on workshops aimed at schools of all levels, public and private universities, research centers, cultural and social promotion associations, the general public, other public and private entities in the region, with the aim of “educating” the public about cultural heritage.
The Office also works with site directors to manage requests for the implementation of school-to-work training programs, as well as internships offered by universities and public and private research centers. It also coordinates training activities for schools and universities at all levels and oversees Universal Civil Service projects.
The Office oversees the adaptation of the Directorate’s museums and cultural sites to current regulations regardingsensory, cognitive, and cultural accessibility, including in collaboration with the Directorate’s technical and scientific staff. It supports the staff of museums and cultural sites in conducting training activities, with a particular focus on best practices for welcoming the public and on full accessibility.
