Salieri - Mozart: Truth and Lies

On the occasion of thespecial opening, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., the evocative setting of the Museum of Roman Ships in Nemi will host the concert-event Salieri - Mozart: Truth and Lies, an event that combines great music with historical narrative, restoring dignity and truth to the figure of Antonio Salieri, on the 200th anniversary of his death.

Led by musicologist and popularizer Sandro Cappelletto's narration and conducted by Maestro Francesco Maria Silvagni, the European Philharmonic Academy Orchestra will offer a program that weaves together the pages of Salieri and Mozart:

- Antonio Salieri

-Overture from "Europe Recognized"

-Overture from "The Cave of Trophonius"

-Symphony in D major "The Name Day"

- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

-Symphony No. 41 in C major K 551, "Jupiter"

The initiative, produced by the European Philharmonic Academy with the contribution of the Lazio Region, in collaboration with the Lazio National Museums Regional Directorate and the Nemi Museum of Roman Ships, and under the patronage of the Municipality of Nemi, offers the public an opportunity to go beyond the cinematic and literary myth to rediscover the authentic greatness of Salieri, alongside the undisputed genius of Mozart.
