𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗶 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗮 - 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘁à 𝗱𝗶 𝗨𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼
It was held Wednesday, August 28, starting at 20:30, in the picturesque Piazza Duomo in the historic center of Ugento (LE) the award ceremony of the Zeus Prize - International Prize for Archaeology of the City of Ugento.
In an evening dedicated to art and music, the internationally renowned event was held, dedicated to world-renowned archaeologists, young researchers, experts in valorization and promotion, as well as specialists in restoration and popularizers.
The names of this year's honorees saw the Director of the Museum of Roman Ships in Nemi, Daniela De Angelis, receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards went to personalities identified by the Scientific Committee composed of Serena Strafella, superintendent of the Soprintendenza Archeologia Belle Arti e Paesaggio of Brindisi and Lecce, the regional director of the DRM (Direzione Regionale Musei) Puglia, Francesco Longobardi, Stella Falzone, director of the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto, Maurizio Bisanti, of the Fondazione Museo Civico di Rovereto (Archaeology Area), Umberto Croppi director of Federculture, and Giovanni Mastronuzzi, director of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Salento.
These are the reasons expressed by the Scientific Committee.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Dr. Daniela De Angelis

We are pleased to honor Dr. Daniela De Angelis, an exceptionally talented and dedicated professional in the field of archaeology, who has been able to combine academic expertise and practical commitment with
extraordinary results. Her participation in numerous excavations in Italy, her contribution in various museum layouts and exhibitions, her various monographic publications and articles in specialized journals
have enriched the scientific debate. His expertise in computerized cataloguing and in
digital technologies applied to archaeology have been an added value to the field,
contributing to the innovation and modernization of archaeological practices.
In addition, since 2018, his directorship of the UNESCO Site of Cerveteri and Tarquinia and the Museum of the Ships
Romans of Nemi has further consolidated his commitment to preserving and enhancing the wonders of Italy's archaeological heritage.
For all these reasons, we are proud to recognize and reward his career and extraordinary achievements aimed at promoting the culture and history of our country.
