The Educational Services of the Lazio Regional Directorate of National Museums organize and promote activities designed to ensure that visitors can fully and meaningfully engage with cultural heritage, transforming visits to cultural sites into experiences of connection, participation, growth, and sharing.
Throughout the year, in collaboration with the directors and staff of cultural institutions, the Lazio Regional Directorate of National Museums organizes training, study, and research activities, educational projects, thematic programs, and workshops, involving schools at all levels, public and private universities, research centers, cultural and social promotion associations, and other public and private entities in the region, with the aim of “educating” the public about cultural heritage.
The Office is also responsible for coordinating, in consultation with site directors, requests for school-to-work training periods and internships from universities and public and private research centers; it also coordinates training activities for schools and universities at all levels, as well as Universal Civil Service projects, in consultation with site directors and other technical staff within the Directorate.
Assists the director in bringing the Directorate’s cultural venues into compliance with current regulations regardingsensory, cognitive, and cultural accessibility, including in collaboration with the director’s technical and scientific support office. Assists staff at cultural venues with training, with a particular focus on best practices for welcoming the public and on accessibility.
