House of Saint Thomas
Aquino (FR)
The House of St. Thomas of Aquinas is located in the ancient comital palace, large parts of which are preserved, such as the Torre del maschio, in the center of the medieval village.
Particularly reconstructed in recent conservation work, it preserves the ancient Gothic windows on the facade.
The display case inside is home to four original seventeenth century drawings by the Flemish artist Otto Van Veen, a pupil of Rubens, depicting episodes from the life of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
A series of explicatory panels presents graphic reconstructions of the Count's Palace and historical photographs of the mediaeval town centre, as well as the history of the Saint.
