The Lazio Regional Directorate of National Museums presents the thirdevent in the series on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Divine Music on a Festive Day: Sacred and Secular Melodies from the Renaissance to the Baroque at the Abbey of Fossanova in Priverno (LT).
Abbeys, monasteries, basilicas, and sanctuaries under the jurisdiction of the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Lazio of the Ministry of Culture are transformed into immersive stages where music, dance, and heritage engage in a dialogue across the centuries.
The festival, organized in collaboration with the Renaissance Dance Company“Tres Lusores,” presents a series of traveling concert-performances within religious sites in Lazio, featuring performances with period instruments, historical costumes, and philologically reconstructed Renaissance choreography.
At the third event at the Abbey of Fossanova, the “Tres Lusores” Company will be accompanied by the music of the “Fanfarra Antiqua” Instrumental Ensemble, conducted by Maestro Carlo Vittori, and will guide the audience on a musical and choreographic journey through the Renaissance and Baroque periods, weaving together sacred and secular repertoires by great composers.
Following the concert, a reception will be held featuring cookies and pastries inspired by traditional recipes.
The initiative aims to offer an immersive cultural experience that weaves together music, architecture, spirituality, and the history of these places, highlighting monumental spaces deeply rooted in the identity of local communities.
The series, made possible thanks to the support of the Directorate-General for Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture, will take the publicona captivating journey throughOctober 2026among the religious sites of the Lazio Regional Directorate of National Museums, transformed into settings for music, dance, and storytelling.
