Exhibition “Recoding Human. Systems of Transcendence” – Certosa di Trisulti
Collepardo (FR)
The Lazio Regional Directorate of National Museums presents the exhibition “Recoding Human. Systems of Transcendence,” which opened on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Certosa di Trisulti in Collepardo.
“Recoding Human” is an intermedia project that combines images, sounds, text, and architecture into a contemplative experience exploring time and perception in the age of digital civilization: conceived as a journey through perception, it unfolds in a space suspended between memory, anticipation, and inner vision, where time emerges not as a linear succession of events, but as an experience lived and continually recomposed by consciousness.
TheGreat Book of Exercisesis an audiovisual installation consisting of two screens and large painted panels, conceived as a book, a portal, and a contemporary altarpiece. When open, the work presents itself as a visual and meditative flow; when closed, it preserves a more intimate and silent dimension of vision.
The installation engages in a dialogue with a series of works on canvas and a sculpture by Antonio Poce, displayed in the Refectory hall and the cells of the large cloister at the Certosa di Trisulti. The works explore a body of research grounded in the integration of mark-making, writing, and perception, constructing a visual landscape composed of painting, trajectories, textual fragments, and symbolic structures as an experience of listening and contemplation. During the exhibition, Antonio Poce will also lead a creative writing workshop based on his own research method. The captions for the works, handwritten by the artist, will also be part of the exhibition experience. In a project that reflects on the relationship between the human and the algorithmic, the calligraphic gesture thus becomes a form of reaffirmation of human presence.
