From good governance to lost sense

On the occasion of the founding anniversary and Oriolo Romano's Christmas celebrations, Palazzo Altieri and the City of Oriolo Romano organized the theatrical performance "From Good Government to Lost Sense" staged on April 20 at 9 p.m. and April 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Giorgio Santacroce, like other men of his time, dreamed of the symmetry of happiness in a new, coherent and harmonious world order expressed in a small ideal town. From his vision was born the village of Oriolo Romano protected by the gaze of the splendid Palace, later renamed Altieri Palace.

Author, director and performer Raffaello Fusaro's narrative combines history, literature, contemporary language and quotations from sources in a surprising way to tell the story of the dream and its reverse. The stark reality of a branch of the Santacroce family in which ambition, emotional involvement, inner conflicts, desire for order and mystery meet and collide with human passions.
