Sperlonga (LT)
The conference "Ancient sculpture: methods, materials and perspectives" originated from a research and comparison group, composed of some of the most prominent academics, who decided to discuss methods and perspectives in the study and teaching of ancient sculpture, choosing Sperlonga as the place for their first meeting.
The event is the result of the collaboration of the Regional Directorate National Museums Lazio, headed by Elisabetta Scungio, and the National Archaeological Museum of the Villa of Tiberius Archaeological Park, directed by Cristiana Ruggini, with the Soprintendenza Archeologia, belle arti e paesaggio for the metropolitan area of Naples, the University of Milan, the University of Pisa, the University of Roma Tre, the University of Urbino Carlo Bo and the Italian Archaeological School of Athens.
