How do you build an accessible museum? The “Amedeo Maiuri” National Archaeological Museum of the Italic Peoples in Veroli, as part of the fourth edition of the“Roma Racconta”series, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., at the Museum of Rome, Palazzo Braschi – SalaTenerani, PiazzaSan Pantaleo, 10 – Piazza Navona, 2 (RM), organized by the Educational Services of the Capitoline Superintendence for Cultural Heritage.

The event will present the development process of the “Amedeo Maiuri” National Archaeological Museum of the Italic Peoples in Veroli, established in 2024 and designed according to an inclusive and narrative museum model, thanks in part to targeted funding from the PNRR for the development of projects focused on cognitive and cultural accessibility.
A project that aims to restore a symbolic site of local history to the community through an exhibition design that integrates physical, cultural, and managerial accessibility, using clear language, interactive tools, and multisensory experiences. Particular attention is paid to eliminating barriers—both physical and cognitive—and to creating visitor itineraries capable of engaging diverse audiences.
The Museum serves as a concrete example of a participatory process in the construction of cultural heritage narratives, promoting an approach in which heritage becomes a shared space, open to dialogue and the active collaboration of visitors.
