M1C3 - Investment 2.3 "Programs to enhance the identity of places: historic parks and gardens"
The investment contributes to improving the quality of life by leveraging cultural assets and promoting, in particular, extensive regeneration of historic parks and gardens as hubs of "public beauty" and identity places for urban communities and as key factors in urban regeneration processes. The objectives are:
-enhancing and making more usable historic-artistic public green spaces, with impacts on urban identity and attractiveness for residents and tourists and on improving environmental quality and well-being; -strengthening skills and competencies in the management and maintenance of historic parks and gardens, supporting local governments in dealing with the conservation issues of these assets and addressing the lack of specialized skills; -interventions in the restoration and enhancement of historic parks and gardens
