Special opening of the Archaeological Park of Domitian's Villa – December 21, 2025

The Archaeological Park of Domitian's Villa in Sabaudia will be open on Sunday, December 21, 2025, with a guided tour at 10:00 a.m. Reservations are required and free of charge.

The Villa of Domitian is located in a spectacular position on the eastern shores of Lake Paola and covers almost 46 hectares, making it one of the largest imperial residences in Lazio, second only to Villa Adriana in Tivoli.
A masterpiece of hydraulic engineering, Emperor Domitian had an aqueduct built to convey water from the Molella spring directly to the villa, feeding monumental cisterns and refined thermal baths.

Important information:
- The Park includes bumpy and uneven sections with numerous elevation changes and unleveled ancient stairs that are only partially shaded.
- Inside the Park, it is necessary to follow only the marked paths, respect the prepared walkways and always pay close attention while visiting.
- It is forbidden to enter areas precluded to the public and to stop or walk off the paths.
- Appropriate footwear (heels and open shoes are not recommended) and long pants are recommended.
- There are currently no refreshment stations or restrooms.
- Dogs are not allowed, as per the Circeo National Park President's Order No. 2 of 11/10/2022.
