Telling the story of archaeology in Tuscia – Second edition 2026
Following the success of the first edition, the Lazio Regional Directorate of National Museums presents the second edition of the conference series"Telling the story of archaeology in Tuscia," a journey between past and present that brings together museums, the local area, and scientific research.
During 2026, there will be10 events, led by scholars and experts from various disciplines, who will illustrate excavation campaigns, recent discoveries, innovative projects, and public and participatory archaeology initiatives to the public. The meetings are designed for a wide audience of curious individuals, enthusiasts, students, and specialists, with the aim of making archaeological research truly accessible and shared.

The conferences will be held at two important venues:
theNational Etruscan Museum of Rocca Albornozin Viterbo
theNational Archaeological Museum of Agro Falisco and Forte Sangalloin Civita Castellana

The initiative will also extend beyond the borders of Tuscia, addressing issues of national and international importance, with in-depth studies on Etruscan and Faliscan archaeology, bioarchaeology, heritage protection, and digital tools for communicating history. The meetings will take place from January to December,excluding July and August, and will be attended by experts from universities, archaeological parks, and research centers.
