PUBLIC NOTICE
As previously announced by the General Directorate of Museums, from June 15 to September 15, 2023, admission to state museums and cultural sites will cost one euro more.
Revenues derived from the temporary ticket increase will be fully used to cope with the emergency in the areas affected by the flooding events, which were severely tested by landslides, water infiltration and flooding that also damaged cultural heritage-including museums-for which the Council of Ministers declared a state of emergency.
As outlined in the measures contained inArticle 14 of Decree Law No. 61 of June 1, 2023, approved by the government, in particular, the proceeds of this important initiative will be used to secure and restore cultural property that was affected by the flood, with interventions for the protection and reconstruction of public and private heritage.
The increase also includes the reduced ticket for 18- to 25-year-olds, which will increase from 2 to 3 euros.
It remains free of charge for the categories stipulated in Decree No. 507 of December 11, 1997.
