The Stop at the place of reflection,
The Silence as a meditative moment,
and the Voragine as an inner finding as an excavation in our consciences.

Captivating mixture of old and new.
The Carthusian Monastery welcomes Franco Marrocco's solo exhibition, three host sites: one for the pause in the ancient Spiezieria, one for Silence in the church of San Bartolomeo, and one for the chasm in the underground rooms of the ancient Refectory.
The project is composed of three acts, three moments of reflection. Like Trisulti, which in itself is representative of three different points of observation tres saltibus.
The first act is precisely the reference to the project path with works made with the Benedictine Rule in mind.
The second is referred to the place, exhibited works made from 2006 to 2009 entitled The Petrified Forest, recall the nature of the places, such as the caves of Collepardo, where stalactites and stalagmites form an evocative landscape, also called The Petrified Forest.
The third act consists of three recent works. The first refers to the theme of Corpus Christi, the second to the Passion of Christ, and the third to the Black Madonna.

The project entitled Stopping - The Silence and the Voragine.
an interesting opportunity for reflection and meditation on contemporary visual culture that appears concise but dense with meaning to create an intimate dialogue between the place and the works created.
It stands in continuity with the exhibition "Path. On the steps of St. Benedict" realized in 2022,
primary objective the dialogue between contemporary and ancient and uniting Benedictine places.
